Thus begins Khor Kuan Liang's account of his start into novel writing. His debut work, Kallang Basin Adagio, which is set in future Singapore, tells the tale of a group of survivors who are looking for sanctuary in Kallang Basin, but their journey is imperiled when they pick up two strangers. The novel was longlisted for the Epigram Books Fiction Prize in 2017.
