Matthew Cooper is a British-born author who lived in Hong Kong for 13 years. After giving up his initial job there as a medical writer, he decided to write a picture book about the city. This first book, Lost in Hong Kong, was such a success that he decided to become a full-time author and has never looked back. Matthew was a featured author for the Hong Kong Young Readers Literary Festival and another of his books, Black Rain Day, has been selected for Hong Kong’s Battle of the Books competition 2018-19. His consistently popular books have received back cover endorsements from the likes of journalist and author, Nury Vittachi, Hong Kong’s last governor, Chris Patten, and world-famous primatologist, Jane Goodall. Matthew is now happily settled in Singapore with his wife and two children. Lost in Singapore is his first book about the wonderful place he now calls home.
